The marketing division motto of any company, whether known or not, is to create want. The purpose of marketing is to create want and the sell something. Let us take a look at some definitions of words we use every day in online and offline marketing activities. Without fully understanding these terms to the letter one cannot understand what one is trying to achieve in marketing or promotion.
MARKETING: The conceiving and packaging and the moving of a specific product into public hands. It means to prepare and take to and place on the market in such a way as to obtain maximum potential and recompense.
PROMOTION: To make something well known and well thought of. On the web it means to send something out that will cause people to respond either in person or by their written order or reply to the end of purchasing a product or products or requesting services. All of which is to the benefit of the person and solvency and financial well-being of the company.
Promotion is the art of offering what will be responded to. It consists only of what to offer and how to offer it that will be responded to.By promotion in any company we mean reach the public and create want. DISSEMINATION: Spreading or scattering broadly. By dissemination in an organization of any size we mean making broadly known services, products and results through newsletters, emails, publications, press, fliers, promotional materials, advertising or other media activities, including word of mouth.
